Cat Fridge Studios isn't about cats, and it isn't about fridges. The name is a little absurd on purpose—a reminder that the best ideas rarely announce themselves as important, and that taking our work seriously doesn't require taking ourselves too seriously.
A studio becomes more capable when different kinds of expertise stay close to the work. Our philosophy
Four things that don't change when the technology does.
We start with problems, not technology.
Technology changes constantly; the tools we use today won't be the ones we use in twenty years. Problems and human needs are more durable. So we let those lead, and pick whatever technology genuinely serves them.
We're not tied to one industry.
A meaningful, overlooked problem could be in agriculture, healthcare, logistics, education, or somewhere nobody's thought to look yet. We go where the problem is, not where it's fashionable to build.
Impact and business aren't a trade-off.
We build real, sustainable businesses on purpose—not despite our mission, but because of it. Profit is what lets us keep doing this work, take on harder problems, and fund what comes next.
We're building an institution, not a single company.
Every venture we launch should leave the studio more capable than before—more expertise, more relationships, more talent, more ways to help the next one succeed.
The arc
The shape of how this works.
This is our process, and our belief. It's not always linear. We move, we learn, we adapt—then we do it again.
Notice
There are important problems hiding in plain sight.
Many are overlooked, underestimated, or ignored because they don't fit existing priorities.
Explore
We go looking for them.
We explore deeply, talk to the people affected, and understand the real shape of the problem.
Choose
We decide which ones are worth solving.
We apply a clear set of questions to focus our time and energy on the opportunities that matter most.
Build
We build ventures around the strongest opportunities.
We create, test, and refine solutions with speed and care—always focused on real-world impact.
Sustain
Those ventures create impact and sustainable businesses.
Good ventures improve lives, transform industries, and create the resources to keep going.
Compound
What we learn and earn makes us capable of solving bigger problems—then we do it again.
Knowledge, technology, relationships, talent, and capital compound over time, enabling the next leap forward.
Notice, explore, choose, build, sustain, and compound form a repeating venture-building process.

Who we're building for
A place for people who'd rather build the thing than talk about building the thing.
Cat Fridge Studios is meant to grow into a place where curious, talented people—engineers, designers, researchers, operators—come together around problems worth solving, and stay long enough to see them through.
